My dad Lorne (left) with his brother Eddie. I was told this was 1948. My dad played left wing for The Brighton Tigers,my uncle Eddie was a Stage door Manager at a big Theatre/Concert venue in Toronto. Both served in WWII in the Canadian Army, both very lucky to be standing there in 48,especially my uncle!
I think this pic was taken along by Peter Pan’s Playground, which later on and I’m not exactly sure of the year,my dad would run the Rollerskating Rink there, during the closed Hockey season.

"My Grand Mother stayed true to her eccentric life - her spirit was with the Bloomsbury Group I'm sure. My Mother, in the rubber hat, became a Model for Pringle Sweaters in the late 1940's/50's. Clifford My Grand Father - who looked as though he'd just spent two weeks in the Pub! - died a few years later of Tuberculosis. But the most poignant was the little girl on the far right with the milk bottle. My Aunt Joan who became a WAAF in the War and died in a bombing raid aged 22 in 1945. "

The Domes from the Palace Pier.

"We knew the pier was damaged and went to have a look on it, then went for a walk along the beach where we saw planks of wood and the dome near Peter Pan's Playground.. It was quite high up the beach so must have been washed up at high tide. Surprisingly there was no one else there. Dad took a couple of photos, we turned it the right way up, took a couple more and just left it there. "
